LOCAL UNION 373 was chartered in 1902. The Local originally was formed from the merge of three Local Unions in Rockland County, NY

The merge between Local Union 373 and Local Union 269 expanded the territory of the combined Locals to cover Rockland, Orange, Sullivan and part of Ulster Counties.

LOCAL UNION 269 also was chartered by the United Association with a merge of three Local Unions in Orange, Sullivan and Ulster Counties.

The merge between these two locals has increased the membership to make it stronger and combine the jurisdictional area.

Today UA Local Union 373 Plumbers and Steamfitters geographic area encompasses 4 counties in New York’s Hudson Valley from the New York City border north to the Binghamton, NY border.
